SC dismisses govt plea against LHC order in Hajj quota case
The Supreme Court of Pakistan has dismissed a plea filed by the federal government against the order by Lahore High Court increasing the Hajj quota.

Hearing the case, 3-member bench headed by the Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar had formed a committee to probe the change in quota issue after LHC ordered to decrease the quota from 67 to 60 per cent.

The Chief Justice asked the Deputy Attorney General Suhail Mehmood if the cabinet could render the order by a superior court ineffective. He dismissed the plea saying that there was nothing wrong with the LHC order.
