Bilawal pays tribute to party martyrs at Tanki Ground rally
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari paid tribute the to the martyrs of the party while addressing a party rally at the Liaquatabad's Tanki Ground.

Earlier, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that the PPP established peace in the city without shedding the blood of innocents and the people of metropolis will never forgive people who committed torched Baldia factory.

"All developmental work of Karachi happened under the PPP-tenure," he said. "People of Karachi should support PPP, we will serve them."

Taking a jibe at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader he said that only the Bhuttoists can serve the people not Imran Khan.

"Imran Khan is a cricketer, he should play cricket," he said.

Sindh CM said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Nawaz Sharif doesnt even stay for a day in Karachi.

Shah said that the PPP leader Bilawal Bhutto was born in Karachi and the party produly takes ownership of the city.

Party leader Sherry Rehman while addressing the rally said Liaquatabad had come a long way from the sound of firing to political slogans and songs.

"We are now exchanging love instead of bullets," she said, adding that Zulfikar Ali Bhutto's son had come to the city to bring progress and happiness to Karachi. 

Lashing out at the incumbent government, Sherry said the thieving government had looted the national exchequer and burdened the nation with a huge debt.

According to the organisers, 30,000 chairs for party workers and supporters were set up along with a 120 by 40 feet stage at the rally ground.

PPP Vice-President and Senate Opposition Leader Sherry Rehman visited the site to inspect the arrangements yesterday. Speaking to the media, she said the PPP will not let Karachi's condition deteriorate any further.

Bilawal is expected to address the rally around 6pm while the time for the rally to begin is 5.30pm.

Sindh Police have chalked out a security and traffic plan for the rally.

Police said officials of the Special Security Unit will be posted on the route and inside the venue while 2,100 district police personnel will be deployed to cover the event, including one SSP, five SPs and 10 DSPs.

Moreover, 100 female police officials have also been deployed for security duties.

A total of 100 police pickups and five bulletproof vehicles will be patrolling around the site of the rally as well.
