Bani Gala case: SC orders removal of encroachments
The Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered removal of encroachments along with Korang drain in Islamabad and sought a report from the concerned authorities within two weeks.

During the hearing of a case pertaining to illegal constructions in Bani Gala, Supreme Court also sought the record of pending cases regarding Botanical Gardens encroachments and directed the Punjab government to inform the court of sewage drain funding till tomorrow.

Chief Justice, Mr. Justice Mian Saqib Nisar warned that Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhry would be held responsible, if encroachments were not removed within two to three weeks.

As the hearing went underway, the additional advocate general told the court that the Capital Development Authority (CDA) had finalized its regulations wherein all structures built after March 30, 2018 would be razed to ground.

The top court sought the month-wise report on the progress of sewage project along with approval of CDA regulations.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court also wrapped up the suo motu Margalla Hills Stone Crushing case, directing all provincial government to work on recommendations forwarded by the committee.
