Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Affairs, Naeemul Haque, has said Jahangir Tareen was an asset to the party.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is currently preparing for local government elections in Khyber Pakhtonkhwa.

The PM’s adviser said his party had good relations with Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-e-Azam (PML-Q), adding the prime minister had also praised the performance of Pervez Elahi.

He has said Jahangir Tareen was an asset to the party, “he had some busy schedule hence he couldn’t come to the party dinner of late,”

In a statement, Haque said the party was firmly united under the leadership of Imran Khan.

Haque also said there was no chance of governor Punjab being replaced with someone else. He said the government had no role in reports going rounds about presidential system.

He, however, added that some laws are obstacle in path to development projects.

Naeemul Haque said a draft had been prepared of seven new laws for welfare of people and they would be presented soon in the National Assembly.

Recently, the PTI leader had said Prime Minister Imran Khan never issues any directives to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

“The government has neither influenced the anti-graft watchdog nor it will in the future”, Haq had said while talking to media in Islamabad.
