Speaking on the occasion, he said in the first phase, a 500-bed hospital will be constructed with an emergency ward comprising 120 beds.
The chief minister said the Nishtar Hospital Multan has been providing standard healthcare facilities, adding as many as 6,000 patients undergo check-up at the out-patients wards of the medical facility on a daily basis.
He said people from Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa come to the hospital for treatment, adding the phase II is a gift for the people of Multan.
CM Buzdar lamented that the project suffered delays because of negligence of previous governments.
He said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government will continue serving the masses.
It is noteworthy that Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar had earlier this week inaugurated Lahore Ring Road Authority Office Complex in Lahore.
The 23 kilometer long Lahore Ring Road Southern Lope I and II have been completed under the public-private partnership agreement.
The chief minister granted approval for the Ring Road Southern Lope III project which will be constructed from Adda plot to Multan road at a cost of 10 billion rupees.
