International community to play its role for resolution of Kashmir issue: Shireen Mazari
Minister for Human Rights, Dr Shireen Mazari has urged the international community to play its due role for the resolution of Kashmir issue.

Addressing a seminar in Islamabad today (Tuesday), she said the report of the United Nations Human Rights Commissioner on Kashmir has called for international inquiry into gross violations being committed by Indian armed forces in the held valley.

Shireen Mazari said India is trying to change the demography of occupied Kashmir and always denied access of media and international observers to the held territory.

Referring to Kartarpur border opening, she said Pakistan took the initiative on humanitarian grounds to facilitate Sikh community.

Speaking on the occasion, Foreign office spokesperson Dr. Muhammad Faisal said Pakistan has made efforts to highlight the Kashmir issue globally.

He said Office of UN High Commission for Human Rights has presented a comprehensive report on rights violations in occupied Kashmir and the UK Parliamentary Group's Report on Jammu and Kashmir has also reflected the same.

The Spokesperson urged youth to play their role in highlighting the Kashmir issue on social media.
