Pacer Mohammad Abbas who wreaked on Australia last month is in doubt for the third and final Test against New Zealand starting December 3 in Abu Dhabi.
Abbas injured his right shoulder while fielding in the Dubai Test after which the doctors' had advised the medium-pacer to rest.
Abbas had destroyed Australia with a haul of 17 wickets in the series against the kangaroos, becoming the first Pakistani fast bowler to take ten wickets in a Test since Mohammad Asif's feat against Sri Lanka at Kandy in 2006.
According to sources, the fast bowler has seen a specialist who has said that it could take up to three to four weeks for the shoulder to heal.
Pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi is expected to replace injured Abbas in the Abu Dhabi Test.
The third and series-deciding final Test match between Pakistan and New Zealand will start on December 3rd.
