An accountability court in Islamabad on Tuesday extended former Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif's transit remand till November 10 in the Ashiana Iqbal Housing scheme case.
The leader of the opposition in the National Assembly and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president was produced before the court today by the National Accountability Bureau, after his previous seven-day remand ended.
The anti-corruption watchdog had sought an extension in his transit remand till November 12.
Shehbaz, who was arrested by NAB on October 5 in the Ashiana Housing case, told the court that he has been investigated for more than a month now but not even a penny’s worth of corruption could be proven against him.
