Addressing a press conference in Karachi, Imran Khan urged National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to launch investigation into horse-trading during Senate polls.
He said that Karachi’s worsened situation is due to politics of fear, adding that the godfather of the metropolis left for London. Educated people were afraid of joining politics due to terrorism in Karachi, he stressed.
Imran Khan assured to bring new system in Karachi by directly electing authorized mayor and making Sindh police apolitical. Will improve infrastructure in Karachi to restore its identity as ‘a city of lights’, he continued.
PTI chairman said that opposition parties usually donot win by-polls while the next general elections will be clinched by PTI.
Responding to ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s assets, Khan said that the corruption of Rs300 billion of Sharif family has turned out to be Rs900 billion. Nawaz will be sent to jail now, he said.
