Supreme Court of Pakistan will hear Suo Moto notice regarding extension in service of Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Wednesday (today).
The SC on Tuesday had issued notices to the government, COAS and the Attorney General of Pakistan.
Farogh Naseem will appear before the court as a lawyer of COAS General Bajwa, while attorney general will defend the government’s stance.
The federal cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan, on Tuesday had unanimously approved a new summery seeking extension in the service of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa for another three years.
Earlier in the day, Supreme Court (SC) had suspended the notification confirming the extension of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa for another three years.
