CWC 19: Sri Lanka chooses to bat against India

India vs Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat first against India in the 44th match of the ICC World Cup at Headingley Ground in Leeds.

India have made two changes as Yuzvendra Chahal is rested for Kuldeep Yadav while Ravindera Jadeja comes in for Muhammad Shami.

This match will not make any difference to both teams as India have already qualified for the semifinals while Sri Lanka’s hopes to qualify for the semi-finals are already ended.

India are placed second on the points table whereas Sri Lanka are placed sixth.

Both teams have played eight matches each and now they are playing their ninth and the last league match.

India have won six league matches, lost one and one had no result while Sri Lanka have won three and lost as many matches with one no result match.
