Afghan President Ashraf Ghani met with Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday and discussed matters related to the region.
The Afghan president, who is in the country on a two-day official visit on the invitation of Prime Minister Imran Khan was given a guard of honour on arrival at the PM House.
PM Imran Khan warmly greeted the Afghan president upon his arrival. Ashraf Ghani also inspected the guard of honour.
During the meeting, PM Imran and the Afghan president discussed regional security and the ongoing peace process.
The Afghan president is accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising key ministers and senior officials.
Earlier, Afghan President Ghani called on Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and said he appreciated Pakistan's efforts for the peace process in the country.
