Hot off the back of his Academy Award win for his role in the Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, Rami Malek is already squaring up to get his next iconic role.
According to sources who have told Collider, the 37-year-old is in ‘final negotiations’ to come the villain in the yet unnamed 25th James Bond film.
It has been previously reported that Malek was in talks about the potential role, but his name was put further down the list because the filming schedule for his breakout TV series Mr Robot conflicted with Bond 25.
Collider adds that Malek’s team has now made the schedule work, paving the way for him to assume the character.
You’d think movie bosses would be chomping at the bit to cast the most recent Best Actor Oscar recipient.
In December Ladbrokes put Rami Malek as the 3/1 favourite to be named the next Bond villain, so maybe there’s hope yet.
