Pakistan fell six runs short of the target in the first T20 in Cape Town, and will be looking to even the score and take the series into a decider. Captain Faf du Plessis and Reeza Hendricks shared a record partnership as South Africa ended the tourists' nine-match T20 winning streak in the first game.
For the visitors, Mohammad Hafeez looks set to return to the side after missing out on the opening game with a hamstring injury.
The Proteas will be without the services of regular skipper Du Plessis who has been rested for the remaining two games against Pakistan. In his absence, David Miller will lead the side.
Wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock has also been ruled out of the remaining two T20Is with a groin injury.
The match between South Africa and Pakistan will start at 5:30pm Pakistan Standard Time.
