According to details, Maryam visited the hospital along with her husband Captain Retd. Safdar and son Junaid Safdar.
Sharif family members faced strict security measures while entering into hospital while Maryam’s son-in-law Raheel Munir was stopped by security officials to meet Nawaz Sharif. However, Munir was allowed to go inside after intervention of Maryam Nawaz.
Earlier in the day, a six-member medical board conducted laboratory tests of incarcerated former former premier Nawaz Sharif at Services Hospital in Lahore.
The former prime minister was shifted to Services Hospital on Saturday following recommendations of the medical board’s report detected cardiac issues.
Nawaz Sharif was shifted back to VIP room again after conducting fasting tests on Sunday.
The medical board formed by Punjab home department comprises Professor Mehmood Ayaz, Professor Sajid Nisar, Professor Kamran, Professor Khadija and Professor Saleem.
Earlier on yesterday, Nawaz underwent sugar, blood-pressure tests while proper treatment will be commenced after release of laboratory test reports.
A VIP room was declared sub-jail by the provincial home department while family members will be allowed to meet Nawaz Sharif.
On the other hand, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) workers staged token hunger strike camp outside the Services Hospital.
