National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal on Tuesday said that the anti-graft watchdog is committed to apprehend the corrupt elements under its "Accountability for All" Policy.
Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad today (Tuesday), he said that they have changed the procedure to meet the expectations of the nation.
We want to eradicate corruption at all cost, he said and added no person can influence NAB’s investigation.
The NAB chairman said that corruption is the root cause of all evils, adding that present leadership of the anti-graft agency has opened mega corruption cases.
Justice Javed Iqbal said NAB since its inception has recovered 297 billion rupees from corrupt elements and deposited in the national exchequer.
He also distributed cheques of amounting 749.9 million rupees among affectees of Shaheen Foundation, Tele Town Housing Society and Chargia Housing Society Wah.
