social media applications
Russia has banned Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. According to British media, Russia's media watchdog blocked access to Twitter. Twitter as well as Facebook and YouTube are facing closure in Russia.

Russia has previously banned the BBC as well. Russia has also blocked The Meadows and Radio Liberty news agencies. The Russian Foreign Ministry says the BBC is being used to disturb peace.

Moscow maintains that foreign media, including britain, are presenting a partial view to the world. But Western governments are rejecting the claim, and accusing the Russian state media of bias.
