Sindh government issues SOPs for online businesses

Sindh government has issued Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for online businesses
Sindh government has issued Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for online businesses to operate in the province.

According to SOPs issued by the government, all online businesses are required to submit receipt of every business transaction as a proof to the government.

Owners of the business will be responsible for health of the workers, whose temperature should be checked at entry points. Head of the market will be responsible for implementing all SOPs.

SOPs further states that no additional permissions are required for any shop owners to operate but customer will not be allowed to visit shop under any circumstances and all orders should be taken online.

Sindh Interior ministry further states that online business will be allowed to operate from April 27 till further notice. However ministry has imposed ban on all stalls of fruit chat, samosa and other similar items.

Earlier, the provincial home department issued notifications detailing the activities allowed and barred during the holy month due to the restrictions on movement amid COVID-19 pandemic.

The notification barred the public from offering Tarawih prayers in mosques and directed them to offer it at their homes due to the virus outbreak fear.
