Rawalpindi Test: Bengal Tigers lost 5 wickets

Pakistani bowlers have put the home side on top after dismissing six Bangladesh batsmen on the score of 172 at Tea on day one of the first Test.

Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad Abbas have claimed three and two wickets respectively whereas Haris Sohail traps Liton Das (33) just before the tea. Mohammad Mithun (30) and spinner Taijul Islam (1) are at the crease.

Mithun and Das rescued Bangladesh after a little collapse just after lunch courtesy Shaheen and Abbas disciplined bowling departing Nazmul Hossain (44) and Mahmudullah (25) respectively.

Pakistan struck the first two wickets in the first two overs of the match. Skipper Mominul Haque (30) and Nazmul added 59 for the third wicket as Shaheen broke the partnership.

Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and decided to bowl first. Pakistan have gone with the same playing XI that last played against Sri Lanka in Karachi.

Skipper Pakistan Azhar Ali is confident to bowl out the Bangladesh team as soon as possible in the first innings whereas Captain Bangladesh Mominul Haque believes his side has the capability to score big.
