According to the details, Jamshed along with his spot-fixing partners Yusuf Anwar and Mohammad Ijaz was arrested immediately after the court announced its verdict. Yusuf and Ijaz will be jailed for 2.5 and three years respectively.
The trio was involved in spot-fixing in T20 matches in Pakistan and Bangladesh. Jamshed was involved in bribing a fellow cricketer during a T20 match. The National Crime Agency conducted an investigation.
It must be noted here that three of the convicts had already confessed the allegations against them in the Crown Court.
Jamshed is also banned by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for 10 years after being found guilty in fixing cases. He was also involved in spot-fixing during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season two.
The left-handed opener had played two Tests, 48 ODIs, and 18 T20Is. His three consecutive centuries in ODIs against India at their home ground to hand Pakistan a series win is still one of his best performances.
