In a recent social media post, the actor put to rest rumors of her signing on a new project about the Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav.
Qamar wrote on Twitter that she found the rumors rather "funny", tagging the publication which started the fake news.
"It's always so funny to know that behind my back, I have signed another film that even I am not aware of," the star wrote.
"Honestly, if I do a film, I will tell all of you myself. That's what I am here for. I am only doing Kamli for now, so stop posting fake news for the sake of ratings."

The publication responded that they confirmed the news from three unnamed sources and reached out to her as well for a comment.
Qamar then hit back and pointed out that the media outlet should have taken her version before publishing a story about her and rubbished the claim that they reached out to her.
"You have received confirmation from three sources but not me. Your claim of asking me for a confirmation before posting the news is totally wrong."
