SC Introduces E-Court System to accelerate provision of justice
An E-Court system has been introduced in Supreme Court of Pakistan which is expected to accelerate provision of justice to the public with fewer expenditures.

Information Communication Technology ‘E-Court’ will hear its first case on May 27.

A statement issued by the Supreme Court on the occasion said that Chief Justice will hear cases from onwards using the E-court system.

After the introduction of the cyber regime, Chief Justice Asif Khosa will be able to hold hearings while being at Supreme Court in Islamabad and hear arguments of lawyers via video link facility from top court’s registry in Karachi.

The move will minimise the massive backlog of cases in the Apex court, easing court proceedings for lawyers who may easily operate from cities they are residing in.
